2014-2016
Work in this section was part of my 2015 exhibit, Endless Murmuring. The work explores patterns of repetition and permutation in response to the burgeoning presence of a social and political system controlled through digital algorithms. Endless Murmuring refers to the paradox of the infinite. In a dance of infinite repetition, the stripes double, thicken, reverse, and re-form. Visual repetitions can give way to an embodied response similar to one experienced through sensations such as sound or music. Although the body and space have historically been considered separate entities, we have entered an age where those distinctions have come into question.
