recent
In recent work I continue to investigate the idea of painting as a means for defining the present moment. Tropes of late modernism prevail, while through the labor intensive process of taping and repetition, I move into a theatrical space invoking postmodern concerns.

In my master_slave series I refer to the programming language of digital technology, as well as to my own troubled relationship with paint. Excess is accumulated in objects that continue to proliferate in my studio.

Terms such as 'post-digital,' 'post-biological,' and 'alter-modernity,' are just a few that embrace the idea of the humanization of digital technologies. Through the interplay between digital, biological, cultural, ideological and spiritual systems, a new understanding of what it means to be human is emerging. It is my intention to provide the means for the beholden to experience the work within these notions.
